Materials:
Instructions:
Cast on 28 stitches. (If you would like a narrower scarf reduce the number of stitches by a multiple of 4)
Knit 4 rows. 4 row pattern repeat Row 1: (WS) Purl the row wrapping each stitch twice-put the needle into the stitch like a purl-wrap the yarn around the needle twice-each stitch will now look like 2 stitches (56 stitches on needle) Row 2: *Slip next 4 stitches one at a time to the right hand needle dropping the extra wrap stitches. Slip these back onto the left hand needle. Knit the 4 stitches together but don't slide them off the needle. Purl the same 4 stitches together.* Repeat across the row-you will now have 14 stitches on the needle. Row 3: *yarn over, purl 1* repeat from * to* across the row. You are now back to 28 stitches. Row 4: Knit
Repeat rows 1-4 of pattern repeat until you are almost out of yarn. Knit 3 rows. Cast off in knit.
Finished scarf approximately 44" x 5".
